Awesome friday night
ha .. had the best night this friday .. coz that awesome speaker came to ICF again ... this time he talked about Genesis2 n 3 ... the fall of man ...
well.. he pointed up a few points that i've not seen ..
1. Did God actually tell Eve not to eat from the tree of knowlegde of good n evil?Did He tell Eve or Adam ?
2. After Eve eaten the fruit, didn't Adam know that she fell? If he knows that she fell .. why did he eat the fruit after her?
3. God cursed the man in verse 18 n 19 ... highlight the word thorns, sweat n dust .. does it ring a bell ??
4. In verse 21 , God made garments of skin for Adam n his wife ... why?? Gen 3:7 points out that they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves ... They r already covered . . why did God still make them garments of skin ? Do u think that the garment of skin is still covered with blood when He put them on Adam n Eve?
5. In Gen 3 : 24 .. God sent cherubim as the guards of the Garden of Eden .. Why did God banish them out of Garden of Eden ... is there any better reason than He is angry with them n wanted to punish them ?? what will happen to Adam n Eve if they r not banished from Garden of Eden ? remember that there's also this tree called the tree of life? What would happened to them if they eat from that tree of life after eating from the tree of knowledge of good n evil ??
Ha ... have a think about the above points n u'll surely get something new out of Genesis 2 n 3 n if u don't know what on earth am I talking about .. feel free to ask me ...
n also i'll be drawing out a timeline from Genesis 5 ... i know that chapter is very boring but there's surely a reason why God wants it to be included in the bible ... draw the timeline according to the birth of each son of Adam n search for the footnotes from the bible about the meaning of each name ... n u'll get something new out of it !!!!

yup ... there is indeed much to learn when you notice these points mentioned in Genesis. The Time line from Adam is particularly interesting, because you will see how old the earth really is...=)

Hehe, Adam to Abraham is about 2000 years, Abraham to Jesus is another 2000 years, Jesus to now is 2000 years. What will happen after 7000 years since creation? Don't know, but I know God loves seven (Completetion).
Oh ya, Methuselah this name has something to do with the flood.
And also did God told Adam & Eve they will die even when they "touch" it?
Alot of interesting fact you can found in Genesis =]
