Amazed
Went to ICF ( International Christian Fellowship) yesterday .. so amazed coz i've found out something awesome from the scripture ...most christians know about the story of Abraham n Isaac right?but i've learnt about something amazing behind this story ... it is not just Abraham being fearful n Isaac being obedience ..there r more than these behind this story ...
Genesis 22 :7-8 Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, "Father?" "Yes, my son?" Abraham replied. "The fire and wood are here," Isaac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two of them went on together.
Is Abraham lying to his son ?? if not .. then where is the lamb??
we know that then the angle of God came n stop Abraham ...in verses 11-12
in verse 13 Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son.
then where is the lamb Abraham mentioned in verse 8??
verse 14 So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."
the phrase will be provided ... y didn't Abraham use would be provided or past tenses ??
Did all these things above ring a bell?? well... it all means that the Lamb Abraham mentioned is neither his son nor the ram ... but it's Jesus Christ
John1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said , "Look , the lamb of God , who takes away the sin of the world!" n at that time Abraham already knew that God is going to provide this lamb as a sacrifice coz after he burnt the ram as sacrifice he said'On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.'
n also it is believed that the very place where Isaac is laid is the very spot where Jesus is crucified ...it's the Skull(which in Aramaic is called Golgotha)..
aren't the above things wicked?? about 2000 years ago right before Jesus was born ...Abraham already knew about God's plan ... This also proved that the bible is written by God coz human beings r not able to write such amazing things....
Praise the Lord ... Our God is an awesome God....

Awesome~
Great understanding from the Bible~
=)
God had planned from the Genesis, He will still plan for us as long as we believe Christ Jesus died for us, for our sins on the cross~
Bro and Sis,
praise God,
for all He has done for us,
to set us free,
leading us to the righteous way.
God Bless, Amen.
